Mr. Amanullah secured the first rank in the Advocate on Record examinations held by the Supreme Court of India in June 2018 and was appointed an Additional Standing Counsel for the State of Bihar in December 2020.
Prior to starting independent practice, was a Partner in ACM Legal, a law firm based out of New Delhi.
Handling civil and criminal matters before various Courts and quasi-judicial fora, including the Supreme Court of India, the Delhi High Court (as well as various other High Courts), the National Company Law Tribunal, Principal Bench at Delhi as well as its Appellate Tribunal at Delhi, the Telecom Disputes Settlement and Appellate Tribunal, the National Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission, and the like. Also handling arbitration proceedings before various ad-hoc Arbitral Tribunals.
Experienced in a wide range of commercial laws as well as criminal laws (related to basic IPC offences as well as offences under special laws such as the NDPS Act, PMLA Act, etc.) with dedicated experience with work pertaining to the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code, 2016, IP laws (primarily copyright laws), laws pertaining to banking and debt enforcement, the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India Act and various allied telecommunication and broadcasting laws, consumer protection law, service law and the like for both corporate and individual clients including various PSUs.
Worked with Mr. Ranjit Kumar, Senior Advocate (later Solicitor General of India) in the Hon’ble Supreme Court of India in 2010 and later joined Mr. Prag Chawla, Ld. Advocate in the Delhi High Court. Joined ACM Legal, a law firm based out of Delhi, in February 2013 and worked primarily on telecommunication and broadcasting matters before the Telecom Disputes Settlement and Appellate Tribunal, commercial domestic arbitrations and litigation ancillary thereto as well as a diverse portfolio of matters before the Hon’ble Supreme Court of India.
